Stefan Johannes Hanke

Stefan Johannes Hanke or SJ Hanke (* 1984 in Regensburg ) is a German composer.

Hanke studied composition with Heinz Winbeck in Würzburg and with Manfred Trojahn in Düsseldorf. He was a scholarship holder of the Cité des Arts in Paris and the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo .

Music theater is a focus of his work. He worked with the Deutsche Oper Berlin , the State Opera Hanover ( The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs 2011/12 and Oh, how beautiful is Panama 2014) and the Semperoper Dresden.

Stefan Johannes Hanke lives as a freelance artist in Düsseldorf.
