Jörn Arnecke
Jörn Arnecke (* 1973 in Hameln ) is a German composer.
Life
Jörn Arnecke studied composition and music theory at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater from 1994 to 2000 with Volkhardt Preuß and Peter Michael Hamel . In the meantime, in 1997/98, he was a student of Gérard Grisey at the Conservatoire National Superieur in Paris, where he also worked at the IRCAM in 1998 . From 2001 to 2009 he was a part-time professor for music theory at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater. In 2004 he received a scholarship for the German Study Center in Venice and in 2007 for the Casa Baldi (Villa Massimo) near Rome . On October 1, 2009, he was appointed professor of music theory and ear training at the Liszt School of Music Weimar , where he heads the Center for Music Theory.
Jörn Arnecke has been a member of the Free Academy of the Arts in Hamburg since 2009 .
