Les plus grands Belges (The Greatest Belgian) was a TV show by the Walloon RTBF that ran in 2005. She chose the greatest Belgian. The Flemish counterpart ran on canvas and was called De Grootste Belg . The audience could vote via a website, SMS and telephone. In total, several hundred thousand votes were cast. A separate vote in finding the largest Belgian shows the lack of a common cultural background in Belgium .
