Christine Ockrent (born April 24, 1944 in Brussels ) is a Belgian journalist and television presenter working in France .

Ockrent studied political science in Paris and Cambridge , was editor-in-chief of the French evening TV news "20 heures" on France 2 and of the "Journal télévisé" and editor-in-chief of L'Express in Paris. From 1996 she was editor-in-chief of the program "Politique dimanche" on the channel France 3 and moderated the European program "France Europe Express". From February 2008 to May 2011, she was the manager of the national broadcasters with international services France 24 , RFI and TV5 Monde , although their statutes are reserved for French nationals.

Christine Ockrent is the life partner of Bernard Kouchner , who was French Foreign Minister and Minister for European Affairs from May 18, 2007 to November 14, 2010.
