Aristide Ambroise Quillet

Aristide Ambroise Quillet (born October 18, 1880 in Villiers-Adam , Département Seine-et-Oise , France , † April 30, 1955 in Paris ) was a French bookseller and publisher .

Aristide Ambroise Quillet founded a small publishing house in Paris in 1898 . In 1902 the company was called société Aristide Quillet et compagnie , from 1905 Librairie commerciale Aristide Quillet and from 1914 Librairie Aristide Quillet . He specialized in dictionaries, reference works and books for self-study .

From 1929 he was mayor of Villiers-Adam. His works were confiscated during the German occupation. He received the Médaille de la Resistance .
