Aristide Baghetti (born February 25, 1874 in Civitavecchia , † March 21, 1955 in Milan ) was an Italian actor .

Life

Baghetti graduated as an engineer and initially worked for the post and telegraph office in Rome, before giving up this profession and professionalising his talent as a lay actor when he contracted the ensemble of Ettore Baccani , Giuseppe Brignone and Alfredo Campioni in 1898 . From 1900 he belonged to the “Stabile de Manzoni” in Milan, soon afterwards to the troop around Ettore Paladini and Bianca Iggius . In this early part of his career he almost always played the daredevil, including 1904 to 1907 with Pier Camillo Tovagliari - Ida Carloni Talli - Giovanni Pezzinga , then for a few years with Teresa Marinai and from 1912 in the ensemble of Virginia Reiter and Luigi Carini . He achieved his breakthrough on stage in 1915 and the following year when he appeared with Ermete Novelli and Lyda Borelli and was able to shine alongside some other female stars of the time, such as Olga Vittoria Gentilli and Ada Dondini .

In 1918 he specialized for some time with some colleagues like Giuseppe Sichel and Ermenegilda Zucchini Majone on "Pochaden", comedies with a strong emphasis on scenes of love and jealousy. Then followed the years with his own drama group, from 1919 to 1933 (with the exception of 1921, in which he made guest appearances). He then stood next to Antonio Gandusio and Febo Mari , and then next to Elda Merlini and Sandro Ruddini during the war years . At the beginning of the 1950s he again belonged to a permanent establishment, the Teatro Ateneo in Rome. In 1952, there was a later high point as a servant Ferapont, directed by Luchino Visconti in Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters .

Baghetti has appeared in films occasionally, if steadily. After an early silent film debut, he was engaged as a character actor from 1933 on for almost forty works.

Actress Tullia Baghetti was his wife, Gino Baghetti his son.
