Aristide Théodoridès

Aristide Théodoridès (born June 30, 1911 , † February 4, 1994 ) was a Belgian Egyptologist and professor at the Université libre de Bruxelles .

He studied at the Université libre de Bruxelles, where he received a licentiate in history in 1937 , in philosophy in 1938 and in oriental studies in 1939 . Under the influence of Jacques Pirenne , he then turned to Egyptology. In 1958 he received his doctorate with a thesis on the chronology of the law stele of Karnak . In 1966 he was appointed professor. From 1978 until his death he was co-editor of the Révue Internationale des Droits de l'Antiquité .
