Aristidis Kamaras ( Greek Αριστείδης Καμάρας , born March 2, 1939 ) is a former Greek football player .

Aristidis Kamaras started his career at Apollon Athens before moving to Panathinaikos Athens in 1961 . He played for Panathinaikos for twelve years and won six Greek championships (1962, 1964, 1965, 1969, 1970, 1972) and two cups (1967, 1969). Together with Frangiskos Sourpis , he formed one of the strongest central defender duos in Greek football history to this day . The highlight of his career was in 1971 when he took part in the final of the European Cup when he lost 2-0 to Ajax Amsterdam at Wembley Stadium in London . Of particular importance were his two goals that he scored in the semi-finals against Red Star Belgrade and the Panathinaikos paved the way to the final. Aristidis Kamaras has a total of 359 first division appearances (304 of them for Panathinaikos alone) in which he scored 20 goals. With 124 appearances in a row (May 20, 1962 to June 19, 1966) and 33 games in just three months (June 2, 1971 to September 30, 1971), Kamaras holds two current records in Greek football to this day. Kamaras had to end his career in the summer of 1973 at the age of 34 when he was seriously injured in a friendly against Hertha BSC . In addition to his successful career at Panathinaikos, Kamaras was a member of the Greek national team for over 14 years, where he made his debut in a friendly against Denmark in Copenhagen on July 3, 1960 and completed a total of 30 international matches.

Besides football Kamaras had Jura studied and to be in Athens lawyer established. He later became chairman of his home club Apollon.
