die dancing hearts were a German power pop band. It was founded in Berlin in 1987 and dissolved again in 1993 .

Members of the band were Klaus Mertens ( vocals , guitar ), Frank Bongers ( bass , vocals) and Andreas Albrecht ( drums , keyboard instruments , vocals). Mertens also wrote all the lyrics for the songs from the dancing hearts and composed the music, initially alone and later together with the other members.

the dancing hearts sang exclusively German lyrics.
