Aristophanic verse
As aristophanischer verse or Aristophaneus in the ancient are Verslehre two after the comic poet Aristophanes named versification called.
The first form is a short verse that is interpreted as a connection between chorus iamb and Bacchius :

This verse corresponds to an anaclastic form of Archilochius minor .
The second form is a catalectic anapesthetic tetrameter with the metric scheme :
- ◡◡ — ˌ◡◡ — ˌ◡◡ — ˌ◡◡ — ˌ◡◡ — ˌ◡◡ — ˌ◡◡ — ˌ ◠
It was used as a dialogue verse in the Attic comedy, for example by Aristophanes in Die Wolken , in the Roman comedy by Plautus for example in Miles gloriosus and in German by August von Platen in his verse dramas Die fatalish fork and in The romantic Oedipus :
