Aristotelian Society

The Aristotelian Society for the Systematic Study of Philosophy , better known as the Aristotelian Society , is a philosophical society in England .

It was founded on April 19, 1880 in a house on Bloomsbury Square , London. Its presidents included Bertrand Russell , Gilbert Ryle , Karl Popper , GEM Anscombe , Jennifer Hornsby and David Papineau . Philosophical articles have appeared in the association's reports, the Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society .
