Arkadi Alexandrowitsch Wainer
Arkadi Alexandrowitsch Wainer ( Russian Аркадий Александрович Вайнер , scientific transliteration Arkadij Aleksandrovič Vajner , born January 13, 1931 in Moscow ; † April 24, 2005 ibid) was a Soviet-Russian writer who, together with his brother Georgi (1938-2009) wrote successful detective novels in the Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries .
Wainer studied law at Lomonossow University and worked as an investigator for the militia before his literary success .
