Coordinates: 32 ° 9 ′ S , 116 ° 1 ′ E The City of Armadale is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . Armadale City is part of the metropolis of Perth , the capital of Western Australia. The area is 560 km² and has almost 80,000 inhabitants (2016).
Armadale is located approximately 17 miles southeast of Perth city center . The area includes 15 neighborhoods: Armadale, Bedfordale, Brookdale, Camillo, Champion Lakes, Forrestdale, Haynes, Hilbert, Kelmscott, Karragullen, Mt Nasura, Mt Richon, Roleystone, Seville Grove and Wungong. The seat of the City Council is in Armadale in the west of the LGA, where about 13,619 inhabitants live (2016).

The Armadale Council has 14 members. Two members each are elected by the residents of the seven wards (Heron, Jarrah, Lake, Minnawarra, Neerigen, Palomino and River Ward). The mayor of the council is also recruited from among the councilors.
