With all of my being is the only album by soul singer Franziska so far . Tim Nowack and Rolf Zischka were the producers. The only single release was Schau mir ins Face , which reached number 81 in the German album charts at the end of May 2003 and for which a video was made. The album itself was denied entry into the charts, although most of the reviews were positive and above all praised the artist's vocal performance.
Emergence
In 2002 the then 17-year-old Franziska had sent a demo tape and a video tape that she showed during a performance in a club to the record company 3P based in Frankfurt am Main . Her employees were so enthusiastic about the singer that 3P decided to sign her. She was then referred to the producer Tim Nowack from Stuttgart , who also saw potential in her at a meeting that took place in the summer of the same year. A short time later he worked out the first drafts for songs, which he recorded together with the artist. Since Franziska was still in school at the time, the album was mostly written on weekends. Rolf Zischka and Frank Pilsl took over the co-production and engineering ; the latter was responsible for the mix . Other co-producers on individual pieces were Benno Richter and the Tübingen drum-and-bass musician Simon V . Nowack was involved in the songwriting of all 14 pieces; Franziska herself wrote the texts of I miss you and tell me who you are with. Most of the recordings took place at DOUBLEHEAD music & soundtracks in Stuttgart, only with Halt mich fest some of them took place in the am5 studio in Fellbach . The mastering was completed in the Tucan studio in Kornwestheim . The recordings for the album, which mainly took place in the winter of 2002/2003 and in the spring that followed, took about a year.

Nowack himself played all the keyboards, and he also arranged and conducted all the strings. He as well as Benno Richter and Simon V were also responsible for programming the beats for individual songs.

style
Stylistically, the album can be assigned to the genres pop and soul . Because producer Tim Nowack mainly composes film music, corresponding influences can be recognized. Due to the numerous guest musicians and the corresponding instrumentation, elements of classical music were also incorporated . Stylistically, indescribably leans towards jazz . Several pieces such as Even if I wonder , just get up and have no right spread an orchestral atmosphere in part. The percussion takes up very little space in all the pieces, in some songs it is completely absent: So with all my being is limited to accompaniment with guitar, bass and strings, with Tell me who you are and your hands the piano accompaniment dominates.
Texts
The lyrics are mainly about love. The only thing out of the ordinary is stand up and have no right . In the former, another person is encouraged, while Hab no right is about a person who had a difficult childhood and got on the wrong track. Even when I ask myself , relationship problems are a topic. layout
Jens Klingelhöfer was responsible for the visual design of the album. There is a photo on the cover showing the singer's head. In the upper half of the picture, the words "franziska" can be read in square, white letters, immediately below in much smaller, also white and square letters, "with all of my being". The booklet, which is predominantly underlaid in ocher, contains pictures of the artist in mostly thoughtful poses. All photographs are by David Cuenca.
reception
Although the album received mostly positive reviews, it missed the German charts. There was consensus among all the reviewers that the album impressed with the artist's vocal performance. Pooltrax judged as follows: “All tracks in which only the voice is the main element are among the highlights of the album. [...] The debut album has a total of 14 tracks ready, each more beautiful than the other. ” The Rheinische Post described the album as “ more than successful ” and “ an astonishingly mature debut ” . The vocals fascinate "with a bitter timbre without getting into shallow waters" . laut.de awarded a total of three out of five points and came to the conclusion: “Always a very promising young girl, and not only in football or basketball they enjoy a little more criticism than the old hands. When compared with other superstars, your star illuminates entire Milky Way, and not like Alexander only the sun in the basement Caribbean. And she doesn't need Bohlen's help with concentrated 3p power in her back either. “ Allesreal.de also praised the singing; their appearance “in any case shows a considerable routine and a certain claim” . On the other hand, the lack of variety in the texts was criticized.
While Schau mich ins Face is represented on a sampler in 2003 and on a Play Station 2 game published in 2006, Steh was simply used on the label sampler 3P Best of Vol. 1 in 2004 and, even if I wonder, in 2005 on 3p Nachtschicht Vol . 01 . In the episode “Tödlicher Leichtsinn” of the ZDF series Die Rettungsflieger (first broadcast on September 28, 2005), two one-minute excerpts from the song “Halt mich fest” can be heard.

The only single release was Schau mir im Face , which was released on May 12, 2003. It reached number 81 in the German charts, where it stayed for two more weeks. The piece was also turned into a video; The director was Katja Kuhl. It shows the singer in different places in southern Europe, mostly accompanied by a male person who is supposed to represent her boyfriend, in between scenes are shown repeatedly in which she sings the song.
