Franziska (born December 27, 1984 in Tübingen ; full name Franziska Kettel ) is a German soul singer from Tübingen.

biography

Franziska started making music when she was 13. In 2002 the then 17-year-old, who played the piano and had been taking singing lessons for years, sent a demo and a video tape to the Frankfurt record company 3p , which immediately took a liking to her. For this reason, the young artist received a record deal. In the spring of 2003, the single " Schau mir ins Aussicht" was released , which reached number 81 in the German charts at the end of May and stayed on for two more weeks. On June 2 of the same year, the album With all my essence was released, but despite mostly good reviews, it did not make it into the charts. Towards the end of 2003 Franziska was with the soul band Glashaus guest vocalist on the piece of love by Sabrina Setlur with which this is a year later to take part in the Grand Prix competed. Furthermore, she was heard as a guest with various other artists - mainly from the hip-hop genre - for example on the songs An alle by Sabrina Setlur, Traum and Tell me by Ercandize , on Ich & Du , Back and Es ist über on the album Officillz bootleg 2 - brilliant 2.0 of Illmatic , to fear the band sleepwalker and on high Spirits of drum-and-bass artist Simon V . A second single that had been announced did not come out. Although there was talk of work on a second album in the same year, it did not appear.

Since 2015 she has performed under the stage name Frankie Balou .
