Armando França
Armando França (born October 22, 1949 in Esmoriz , Ovar ) is a Portuguese politician of the Partido Socialista and has been a member of the European Parliament since October 15, 2007 .
França studied law at the University of Coimbra and has worked as a lawyer with his own law firm in Aveiro since 1978 . Before that he was a high school teacher from 1975 to 1978. From 1994 to 2005 França was Mayor of Ovar.
França replaced Fausto Correia , who died on October 9, in the European Parliament . There he belongs to the group of the Party of European Socialists .
