The Army Group Student , from April 10, 1945 Army Group Blumentritt was an army - United Association of the German Wehrmacht on the Western Front . It was a summary of all the troops still available between the Weser near Hameln and the North and Baltic Sea coasts. The army group was set up on March 28, 1945 and existed until the surrender on May 8, 1945. The name was derived from the two commanders-in-chief, Colonel General Kurt Student and General of the Infantry Günther Blumentritt .
