172nd Reserve Division (Wehrmacht)
The 172nd Reserve Division was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on November 23, 1944 and moved to the Siegfried Line near Zweibrücken . The division was never used as a whole. Sub-units of the division were later transferred to other divisions and incorporated into them.
