158th Reserve Division (Wehrmacht)
The 158th Reserve Division was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on October 1, 1942 and then moved to Silesia. On January 1, 1943, the division was divided into 158th Infantry Division (B) stationed in the Paris area and the 158th Infantry Division stationed in Strasbourg in Alsace . In the course of January 1943, the unit was relocated from Strasbourg to La Rochelle on the French Atlantic coast. On July 2, 1944, the division was reorganized and renamed the 16th Infantry Division .
