156th Reserve Division (Wehrmacht)
The 156th Reserve Division was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was established on October 5, 1942. From February 12, 1943, the 156th Reserve Division was stationed in the area around the French town of Ardres (located south of Calais on the Channel coast ). On October 1, 1944, the division was reorganized and renamed the 47th Infantry Division .
