Armin Trost

Armin Trost (born August 29, 1966 in Tübingen ) is a German psychologist . Since 2005 he has been Professor of Human Resource Management in the Faculty of Business at Furtwangen University .

Life

Trost studied psychology and business administration at the University of Tübingen and the University of Mannheim . After completing his degree in psychology, he received his doctorate from the University of Mannheim on the subject of employee surveys . From 1999 to 2004 he was employed at SAP . In 2004 he became professor for personnel management and statistics at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg. Since 2005 he has held a professorship at Furtwangen University.

research

The focus of his teaching and research are employer branding , recruitment and the application of empirical social research methods in companies. Trost propagates a human resource management that is lived flexibly according to the laws of the market economy and opposes rigid, planning processes. Human resource management should be geared directly to the strategic challenges of a company.
