Arminia Marten (officially: Sportverein Arminia 08 Marten eV ) is a sports club from the Marten district in the west of Dortmund . It was created in 1908 when the football department of TV Arminius Marten founded an independent club. The club colors are blue and white.
history
Between 1937 and 1941 the club played in the Gauliga Westfalen , the top division at the time. In 1993 the club merged with SV Roland Marten . This merger should strengthen youth work in order to make the association more successful in the long term. In the 2009/10 season, the club rose to the seventh-class national league . Four years later, he was relegated to the district league, which was immediately promoted again in 2015. In November 2017, the club withdrew the team from the current national league season. In the 2018/19 season, Arminia will play in the district league A.
In addition to the football department , the club also has departments for volleyball , table tennis and women's gymnastics .
Stadion
Arminia Marten's home arena is the district sports facility “Am Wischlinger Weg”. The grass pitch with running track has a capacity of around 4,000 spectators. Next to the grass pitch there is a new artificial grass soccer field without a running track.
