The Armstrong Glacier is a glacier on the Rymill Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the south side of Mount Bagshawe in a westerly direction to George VI Sound . It is the only safe route for motorized vehicles from George VI Sound to the Palmerland ice plateau.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the glacier after Edward Barry Armstrong (* 1937), geodesist of the British Antarctic Survey on Stonington Island between 1964 and 1965.
