The Armstrong Reef is a group of small islands and reef rocks off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . They extend from the southwestern end of Renaud Island in the Biscoe Islands archipelago over a length of 8 km.
The reef is first recorded on an Argentine map from 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after the British geographer Terence Edward Armstrong (1920–1996), a recognized expert on sea ice .
