Arnd Wiedemann

Arnd Wiedemann (born February 2, 1962 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a German business economist .

Life and education

Arnd Wiedemann was born in Mülheim an der Ruhr as the son of the married couple Renate and Heinz Wiedemann. After graduating from the Karl Ziegler School in his hometown (1981), he studied business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster from 1982 to 1987 . He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Credit Management there until 1990 and also as a research assistant at the Economic Science Center at the University of Basel until 1998 . There he was in 1992 with a thesis on the "composite strategy for credit unions" Dr. rer. pole. PhD; In 1997 he also completed his habilitation in Basel on the subject of "The liabilities side as a source of success - interest management in companies" .

Act

Since 1998, Wiedemann has held the professorship for finance and banking management at the University of Siegen as a professor of business administration .

In 2001 he founded a consulting company for credit institutes, their associations and industrial companies, the "ccfb Prof. Dr. Wiedemann Consulting GmbH & Co. KG ”, of which he is the sole shareholder .

Since 2003 he has been the editor of the publication series "ccfb - competence center financial and bank management" .
