Arne Bakker

Arne Bakker (born February 18, 1930 in Bærum , † October 9, 2009 ibid) was a Norwegian football , bandy and ice hockey player . In the first two sports he was a national player.

Athletic career

Bakker was active for Stabæk IF and Asker SK .

As a football player, Bakker covered various positions, particularly on the defensive, and he often acted as a center runner . Between 1953 and 1962 he played 54 international matches for the Norwegian national team , in which he was without a goal. His style of play is described as safe on the ball, technically good, good at tackling and passable.

As a bandy player, he won the Swedish championship in 1952, 1953 and 1955. He also played 20 international matches for the Norwegian national team , with which he won a silver medal at the 1952 Winter Olympics in the bandy tournament, which was held as a demonstration competition .

In ice hockey Bakker also played for Stabæk IF and Jar IL .

In 1961 Bakker received the Egebergs Ærespris .
