The Arneb Glacier is a glacier on the Borchgrevink Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows within a bay lined by rocky cliffs between the main land mass of the Hallett Peninsula and the associated Redcastle Ridge in a north-westerly direction to Edisto Inlet , into which it flows in the form of a floating glacier tongue .
Participants of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1957-1958) named it after the USS Arneb , which was used in 1957 to transport parts of the building and other material for the construction of the Hallett station .
