Arno Kröniger

Arno Kröniger (born in Bayreuth in 1939 ) is a German chemist , publisher , writer and poet . His literary works often refer to the city of Bayreuth, and many of his poems and anecdotes are written in the local dialect.

Kröniger attended the Graf-Münster-Gymnasium in Bayreuth, then called Oberrealschule (OR) . He was a member of the fistball team of the Bayreuth gymnastics club and in 1963 he was a German university champion in fistball with the team from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg . With Emil Buchta he published the essay Spirocyclic Compounds, XI. 2.6-Dioxo-spiro [3.3] heptane, 2.10-Dioxo-trispiro [3.1.1.3.1.1] -tridecane and 8.8-diphenyl-3.7-dioxo-2-oxa-spiro [4.4] nonane .
