Arno Wallaard
Arno Wallaard (born October 13, 1979 in Noordeloos , Netherlands ; † February 28, 2006 there ) was a Dutch cyclist .
Wallaard drove as a professional for the Belgian Quick Step team in 2003 and was employed by smaller teams in the following two years. Before the 2006 season, he moved to the Dutch Professional Continental Team Skil-Shimano . Wallaard took tenth place in the Tour de Normandie in 2003 . As the reigning Dutch junior champion, Wallaard won Around Cologne for amateurs and a stage in the Thuringia Tour in 2001 .
Wallaard died in February 2006 at the age of 26 from sudden cardiac arrest.
2007, since 1984 was Meerkerk discharged Omloop Alblasserwaard , the Wallard had won in 1999 itself, in Arno Wallaard Memorial renamed.
