Arnold Simon

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arnold Simon was a music publisher in Hanover .

The company, founded on February 20, 1870, was initially owned by Gustav Schlueter before it was named after the new owner Arnold Simon in December 1876. In addition to a music shop, there was also a music "loan institute", but in particular the company published music notations and compositions by members of the Royal Hanover Orchestra or by Franz Liszt .

On October 1, 1881, Arnold Simon sent a business circular with the title Sale of the Musical Range and Lending Company to L. Pinkvoss and R. Düsing . The new company was now called Arnold Simon's Musik.-range & Leihanstalt . At the same time, the letter announced that Simon's brother-in-law Max Simon had received power of attorney for Arnold Simon's Verlag & Pianoforte-Magazin .

Correspondence from the publisher Christian Bachmann has been received from 1901 with the title Separate management of the companies Chr. Bachmann and Arnold Simon's range. Please open a new account for A. Simon's range.
