Arrow Classic Rock is a Dutch private radio broadcaster . The station plays classic rock and the latest rock songs. The program is largely unmoderated, with the exception of a few morning and morning programs. Otherwise, the music is only interrupted by ads, jingles and news from the ANP news agency .

history

The transmitter was founded in mid-1996 and initially only broadcast via a relatively weak medium-wave transmitter. On June 1, 2003, Radio 10 FM (today: Radio 10 Gold ) was able to adopt the stronger frequency 675 kHz. On January 31, 2008 broadcasting via medium wave was discontinued. In German-speaking countries, the program can mainly be heard via the Internet stream, as the broadcast via the Astra satellite broadcast here at the position 19.2 degrees East also ended in early May 2011.

On July 1, 2007, Arrow took over the broadcaster Caz! From SBS as part of the merger of SBS Broadcasting with ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG . and has been broadcasting on their VHF frequencies ever since . The old medium wave frequency was sold to Radio Maria (Netherlands) .

Arrow Classic Rock can be received via cable throughout the Netherlands and was also broadcast on FM until March 10, 2009 . Then Arrow Classic Rock was temporarily received from March 11, 2009 to May 5, 2009 by medium wave transmitter on 828 kHz, but it was only transmitted with five kilowatts. The program is also broadcast via live stream on the Internet and can be received digitally via the Astra-3B satellite at 23.5 degrees east. Reception in the Netherlands was also possible via DAB + on channel 11C. On September 1, 2017, reception via DAB + was discontinued.

Arrow now also operates a live stream jazz offshoot called Arrow Jazz FM .
