Arrows ( English for arrows ) was a British pop band from the 1970s .
history
The trio was discovered in 1973 by Mickie Most , who produced them from then on and tried to form a suitable teenage band with them for his label RAK Records . He wrote a number of titles for them and in 1974 had immediate success with the single Touch Too Much ( UK 8th place), but it remained their only placement in the UK top 20.
In 1975 the self-written song I Love Rock 'n' Roll by Alan Merrill (1951-2020) and Jake Hooker was published as a B-side . The title only became more popular after a 1981 version of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts ( platinum in 1982). The piece was covered and sampled several times in later years .
In 1976 and 1977 the Arrows shot two weekly television series and a book was published about them. Still, they never managed to land a number one title. Her last recording was released in 1976.
