The Arroyo Minas Viejas is a river in Uruguay .

It rises in the southern part of the Lavalleja department not far from the border with the neighboring Maldonado department . Its source lies south of Minas , west of the Ruta 60 running there and southeast of Cerro A Pico with the source of Arroyo La Plata and north of Cerro Vicho in the Cuchilla Grande . From there it runs in a northerly direction, in the lower reaches of the Cerro de Cuarcita meet the Durazno on the left and the Arroyo Coronilla on the right before it then passes the Paso Minas Viejas . It finally flows into the Arroyo San Francisco at Paso Arce near Ruta 12 . Near the mouth is the Ramallo mine.
