The Arroyo de la Aruera is a river in northern Uruguay .
It rises in the area of the Department Artigas in the Cuchilla Yacaré Cururú a few kilometers southwest of the department capital Artigas . From there it flows in a north-northeast direction and flows a few kilometers northwest of Artigas and downstream from Paso de la Isla as a left tributary into the Río Cuareim .
