Posterior caecal artery
The posterior caecal artery (lat. For 'posterior appendix artery ') is an artery in the human abdominal cavity . It arises in the area of the mesenteric root at the transition from the ileum to the appendix from the ileocolic artery and pulls on the back wall of the appendix, which it supplies together with the anterior caecal artery . Often the posterior caecal artery also gives rise to the appendicular artery .
