Humerus arteries of man

The arteria recurrens ulnaris (" recurrent ulnar artery") is a small artery of the forearm . It arises from the elbow artery just below the elbow joint . It pulls back towards the elbow bend, is crossed by the median nerve and divides into two main branches. The ramus posterior ("rear branch") runs behind, the ramus anterior ("front branch") runs in front of the medial epicondyle of the humerus to the vascular network of the elbow ( rete articulare cubiti ). There the branches anastomose with the arteria collateralis ulnaris inferior and the arteria collateralis ulnaris superior .
