Arthur Cuninghame Grant Duff

Sir Arthur Cuninghame Grant Duff KCMG (born May 23, 1861 - April 11, 1948 ) was a British ambassador .

Life

Arthur Grant Duff's father was ME Grant Duff , Governor of Bombay. His siblings were Hampden, (born July 27, 1874) and Evelyn Mountstuart Grant Duff (born October 9, 1863). He studied at Balliol College, entered the foreign service in 1885, was posted to Madrid , promoted to third class counselor in 1887 and second class counselor in 1892. He was accredited from 1888 to 1891 in Vienna, from 1891 to 1892 in Stockholm, 1892 in Beijing, 1892 in Caracas and from 1905 as Counselor in Brussels. He became first degree counselor in Mexico . In 1927 Arthur Grant Duff was retired .
