Ernest Amelius Rennie

Sir Ernest Amelius Rennie , KCMG , MVO ( September 12, 1868 - September 25, 1935 ) was a British diplomat.

Rennie attended Eton College and studied at the University of Oxford . In 1868 he began his career in the diplomatic service.

From 1913 Rennie was British ambassador to Peru and Ecuador until he headed the Inter-Allied Commission of the League of Nations in the Olsztyn voting area in 1920 .

After the end of the vote, he was appointed ambassador to Finland (1921–1930).
