Arthur Deicke

Arthur Oskar Deicke (born January 18, 1882 in Altena , † March 9, 1958 in Munich ) was a German designer of engines, motorcycles, speedboats and airplanes.

Arthur Deicke was born as the son of basket maker Emil Deicke (1849–1887) and Clara Ida Deicke. Weissbach (1859–1931) born. His most important work was the ADM11 , a single-seater airplane that consumed 6 liters per 100 km at a cruising speed of 90 km / h. It was the first airplane with a closed cockpit . Deicke's estate is kept in the Deutsches Museum in Munich.

Since 1929 the Protestant Arthur Deicke was with Johanna Maria Deicke geb. Oehrlein married.
