Karl Manzke

Karl Manzke (born November 20, 1928 in Böbbelin , Schlawe district ; † December 6, 2008 in Celle ) was a German Lutheran theologian. From 1977 to 1992 he was state superintendent for the Stade district of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

Life

Manzke studied theology in Wuppertal , Münster and Göttingen . He completed his vicariate in Soltau and was then pastor in Hechthausen near Cuxhaven from 1957 to 1962 . Subsequently, Manzke was director of studies at the Erichsburg seminary in Dassel. In 1967 he became superintendent of the church district of Celle. In 1977 he was appointed state superintendent of the Sprengels Stade. Manzke was active as a preacher and lecturer until his death.

Karl Manzke is the father of Karl-Hinrich Manzke .
