Hans Hoyer

Hans Hoyer (born December 20, 1901 in Bruchhausen-Vilsen , † May 16, 1987 in Stade ) was a German Protestant theologian . From 1950 to 1970 he was state superintendent of the Stade district .

Life

Hans Hoyer studied Protestant theology in Göttingen and Leipzig from 1919 , during which time he was also a cashier in the Syke tax office and taught Latin, Greek, religion and history at the Christian School in Hermannsburg in 1924/1925 . In 1922 Hoyer became a member of the Göttingen Wingolf in Göttingen . On September 21, 1921, Hans Hoyer gave his first sermon in the church in Bruchhausen . On October 10, 1925, Hans Hoyer was ordained a pastor in the Neustädter Church in Hanover and was pastor in Hanover-Herrenhausen. In 1927 he became a pastor in Sudwalde . In 1936 he became superintendent of the Buer supervisory district . On July 6, 1949, he was appointed to the regional church council (today's name: Oberlandeskirchenrat) and was under discussion as personnel department in the regional church office in Hanover , but this was not the case. In October 1949, he was appointed state superintendent of the Stade district, in the course of which his appointment to the state church council was canceled. Hoyer took office in 1950 and held the office until 1970. As a state superintendent he was pastor at St. Wilhadi Church in Stade .

Hans Hoyer was a delegate at the meeting of the Lutheran World Federation in Hanover in 1952 . Hans Hoyer was a member of the general synod of the VELKD from 1955 to 1959 , from 1967 to 1973 a member of the EKD synod and a member of various synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover. Hans Hoyer was a born member of the Bishops' Council from 1950 to 1970 and a member of the Church Senate of the regional church of Hanover from 1961 to 1970 .
