Hans Christian Brandy

Hans Christian Brandy (born December 5, 1958 in Bonn ) is a German Protestant theologian . Since April 1, 2010 he has been state superintendent for the Stade district of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

Life

After graduating from high school in Großburgwedel , he studied Protestant theology in Göttingen from 1977 to 1984 and then worked there as a research assistant at the chair for systematic theology. In 1989 he was with a thesis on the Christology of the Reformation doctorate .

After the vicariate in Hildesheim and Loccum , Brandy became parish pastor in Steyerberg (district of Nienburg / W.) In 1991. From 1994 he was personal advisor to regional bishop Horst Hirschler and regional bishop Margot Käßmann . In 2000 Brandy was appointed to the Oberlandeskirchenrat in the college of the Landeskirchenamt Hannover and was initially a department head for media and then u. a. for the areas of worship and church music, denominational ecumenism and 'Church in dialogue', spirituality and missionary services. In 2010 he was appointed state superintendent of the Sprengels Stade. Hans Christian Brandy is married to the pastor Claudia Brandy. The couple has 3 children.
