Stephanie Springer

Stephanie Springer (* 1967 in Hanover ) is a lawyer and former judge . Since August 30, 2013 she has been the President of the Regional Church Office of the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Hanover .

Life

Stephanie Springer studied law in Hanover . In 1994 she did her Magister Legum Europae . After her legal clerkship , she did her doctorate with Professor Wolfgang Killian at the University of Hanover. She worked as an assessor at several courts in Lower Saxony and as a consultant at the Ministry of Justice . From 2002 to 2006 she worked in the Lower Saxony state representation at the European Union in Brussels . In 2006 she became a judge at the Hanover Regional Court , and in 2007 she was seconded to the Celle Higher Regional Court. There she headed the Presidential Department II, which is responsible for personnel matters in the judicial service. In addition, she was responsible for questions relating to medical liability law in the 1st Civil Senate . In March 2013 she was appointed by the Church Senate of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover as the first woman to be the President of the Hanover Regional Church Office. On August 30, 2013, Stephanie Springer was introduced to her office by Regional Bishop Ralf Meister in a church service in the Marktkirche in Hanover .

Stephanie Springer has been a member of the EKD Council since November 2015 .

Stephanie Springer has been chairwoman of the board of trustees of the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst since 2017 , of which she has been a member since 2009. She is a member of the supervisory board of the Diakonisches Werk in Lower Saxony .
