Karl Viktor Lampe (born December 2, 1869 in Köslin ; † February 25, 1932 ) was a German church administration lawyer and president of the Hanover regional church office of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

Life

Born as the son of the then government councilor August Lampe (1825–1906), Viktor Lampe attended high school in Breslau , Marienwerder , Magdeburg and Hanover , where he graduated from Lyzeum I (later the council high school ) in March 1889 . He studied law in Tübingen , Berlin and Göttingen and served as a one-year volunteer in Tübingen in 1889/90 . On November 12, 1892, he passed the trainee exam. He completed his preparatory service at the Coppenbrügge District Court , the Göttingen District Court , the public prosecutor's office and the Hanover District Court and the Celle Higher Regional Court . After the state examination, which he passed in Berlin , in 1897, Lampe became a court assessor in the Prussian judicial service. In the same year he was given leave of absence as an unskilled worker at the Hanover Consistory and in 1900 was appointed consistorial assessor. In 1903 he was transferred to the consistory in Kiel , where he was promoted to consistorial councilor in 1905. From 1906 he worked part-time in the business of the university board of trustees in Kiel and represented the trustee in cases of hindrance. In 1909 he also became the administrative director of the academic sanatoriums in Kiel . During his time in Kiel he published a work on Schleswig-Holstein church tax law. On February 1, 1911, he was transferred back to Hanover and temporarily took over the position of senior consistorial councilor. After the First World War , he was instrumental in drafting the new constitution for the Hanover regional church, which came into force in 1922. In October 1924 he was appointed the first president of the regional church office and represented the regional church on a national and international level, for example as a delegate at the ecumenical council in Stockholm in 1925 . He retired on October 1, 1929 for health reasons. He died in February 1932 and was buried in the New St. Nikolai Cemetery.
