Franz Wiebe

Franz Wiebe (March 30, 1884 - July 22, 1963 ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Life

Franz Wiebe studied Protestant theology and was ordained on March 13, 1910 in the St. Michaelis Church in Hildesheim . After a job as a parish cooperator in Diemarden and a ministerial collaborator in Hildesheim, he became second court and palace preacher and consistory assessor in the consistory in Hanover in 1912. In 1920 he was appointed consistorial councilor. From 1923 to 1926 he was superintendent for the Einbeck church district , and from 1926 to 1936 in Göttingen.

During the church struggle he was one of the episcopal vicars appointed by regional bishop Marahrens . In February 1935 Wiebe was appointed episcopal vicar for the Stade district . In 1936 he was appointed the first regional superintendent for the Stade district of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover . Wiebe held this office until 1948. From 1948 Wiebe was state superintendent of the Göttingen-Grubenhagen district. On November 1, 1953, he retired.
