Hinrich Buss

Hinrich Buss (born April 7, 1937 in Selverde ; † July 28, 2007 in Wollbrandshausen ) was a German Lutheran theologian and clergyman. From 1993 to 2002 Hinrich Buß was regional superintendent for the Göttingen district of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

Life

As a student, Hinrich Buß was involved in setting up the YMCA in his home country and in the district of East Friesland. In 1957 Buß graduated from Ubbo-Emmius-Gymnasium Leer . After studying Protestant theology in Göttingen , he was ordained on October 15, 1967 in Dransfeld and introduced there as a pastor. He then worked as a lecturer at the Religious Education Institute Loccum . 1975 Hinrich was Buß study director of Seminary Hildesheim .

In 1983 he was appointed superintendent of the Wolfsburg church district and in 1993 he was appointed regional superintendent for the district of Göttingen. After his retirement in 2003 Hinrich Buß took over the vacancy representation in the German Protestant community in Manhattan .

Hinrich Buß had a teaching position for homiletics (sermon teaching) at the University of Göttingen . In 1957 Hinrich Buß was the youth delegate of the Conference of the Lutheran World Federation in the USA.
