Walter Meyer-Roscher

Walter Meyer-Roscher (born July 26, 1935 in Hoheneggelsen ; † February 10, 2020 in Hildesheim ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Walter Meyer-Roscher was senior church councilor in the Hanover regional church office and from 1991 to 1999 regional superintendent for the Hildesheim district of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

Life

After his ordination as pastor in the Ev.-luth. In 1962, Walter Meyer-Roscher became the parish pastor of the St. Andreas Church in Hildesheim . In 1970 he became a school pastor in Hildesheim. In 1974 he was appointed senior church councilor to the Hanover regional church office, and later to higher regional church councilor . There he was responsible for media work, missions and development services. In 1991 Meyer-Roscher was appointed state superintendent for the district of Hildesheim by the church senate of the regional church . On December 31, 1999, Walter Meyer-Roscher retired.
