Lothar Stark (theologian)

Lothar Stark (born March 26, 1912 in Glogau ; † May 6, 2003 in Göttingen ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran theologian and pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover .

Life

While studying Protestant theology , Lothar Stark became a member of the Fridericiana Breslau singers in the Sondershäuser Association . After graduating, he was ordained in Breslau on October 15, 1939 . In 1946 he became pastor in Meppen and in 1948 in Lingen . From 1952 to 1958 he worked as superintendent again in Meppen.

On July 1, 1958, Stark was introduced as regional superintendent of the newly established district of Göttingen of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church by regional bishop Hanns Lilje . He retired on July 31, 1977.
