Manfred Horch

Manfred Horch (born January 2, 1948 in Bredstedt ; † October 27, 2009 in Stade ) was a German Lutheran theologian and clergyman. From 2001 to 2009 Horch was state superintendent for the Stade district of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Hanover .

Life

Manfred Horch initially trained as a dental technician. From 1969 to 1971 he attended the college level of the Theological Academy in Hermannsburg / Celle and began studying theology there in 1971. From 1976 to 1985 he worked as a parish pastor in Fredenbeck. In 1985 Horch became pastor of the student community in Hanover and in 1990 superintendent in the north church district. In 2001 Manfred Horch was appointed state superintendent for the Stade district and held this position until his untimely death in October 2009. Manfred Horch was a born member of the bishops' council of the regional church and u. a. Chairman of the Deutsche Seemannsmission Hannover eV and chairman of the board of the Evangelical Hospital Lilienthal eV
