Arthur Ganson (born 1955 in Hartford , Connecticut ) is an American artist. He is a representative of the kinetic art .

Ganson graduated from the University of New Hampshire . He is u. a. internationally known through his work Machine with Concrete , an infinity machine . This object slows down the speed of rotation of a motor via twelve gear wheels so much that the last gear wheel takes more than two billion years to complete one revolution and can therefore be cast in concrete.

Ganson's works were u. a. exhibited at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Ars Electronica .
